First Thursday Art Walk!

We are proud to announce that the First Thursday Art Walk is April through October, with a December Holiday Artwalk!

About Us

Since 2002, we've been working along the Centre and South Street corridors to promote and assist local businesses and enliven the streetscape for residents. In partnership with Boston Main Streets, we provide a direct conduit to the City of Boston and can provide technical assistance to help new businesses succeed.

From Pop Up Shops to the Puppy Parade to the Artists' Ball, JP Centre/South Main Streets seeks to introduce you to your neighbors. We believe that a strong community is one where we know those around us, and there is no reason we shouldn't have a good time while we're getting acquainted!

Our Committees

Help your community grow! If you're interested in keeping JP fiercely independent and delightfully quirky - then join one of our committees and help out. No time commitment is too small, and all different skill sets are needed.

Created by Mayor Thomas M. Menino in 1995 as the first urban, multi-district Main Street program in the United States, Boston Main Streets is devoted to the continued revitalization of Boston's neighborhood commercial districts through design, technical, and financial support. Today, the nationally recognized program boasts 20 districts across Boston.
